Agricultural Credit

The agricultural credit is a special form of the loan and is used to finance investments in agriculture. A distinction is made between short-term agricultural operating loans in the form of overdraft facilities or exchange loans to finance agricultural inputs and longer-term agricultural investment loans for the financing of agricultural machinery and construction activities. Longer-term agricultural investment loans are usually secured by mortgages and, in this context also referred to as an agricultural real estate loans.
